The Gradbach Scout Camp is located on the western edge of the Peak District National Park, nestled in the upper reaches of the Dane valley, on the borders of Derbyshire, Cheshire and Staffordshire. The campsite is located close to both Buxton and Leek, but because of the nature of the Peak District countryside it appears to be in Gradbach scout campsite, the den and the central areaa world of it's own. The campsite is ideally situated for most Peak District activities including climbing, walking and caving, and is the ideal stopover point for Scout and Duke of Edinburgh Award expeditions, as well as longer troop or patrol camps. Whether you are looking for camping for a single night, or camping for a full week, we have what you need. Looking for indoor accomodation for a scout or cub residential experience, or for an outward bounds type course then look no further, Gradbach Scout Camp has what you need.

The area that now constitutes the campsite headquarters was formally known as Gradbach Old Hall Farm. The campsite headquarters consist of three converted farm buildings, known as, The Farmhouse, The Cottage and The Rover Den.

The Farmhouse and Cottage have been converted into indoor accommodation and are ideal for a base for indoor and outdoor activities. Both of the buildings are suitable for all sections, from beaver sleepovers, through cub pack holidays to scout and explorer scout camps. The Rover Den is also converted for indoor accommodation and is used as the Camp Headquarters and 'home' of the site Service Crew.

The camping grounds cover a total of 48 acres of land. Of these 48 acres, 23 acres is designated as plantation covering the southern end of the site along the northern slope of the Black Brook River. The remaining area is split into 17 camping sites, offering a varied choice of environment for large static camps down to bivouacking.
